However, potential adopters must be willing to complete a video chat home visit and travel to Rochester, NY to meet him in person.<br/><br/>Treeger (DOB 7/25/25) is an incredibly sweet pup who is learning how to navigate life outside of a puppy mill. When he first arrived, even the simplest things—walking through doorways, eating from a bowl, taking treats from a hand, or playing with toys—were completely new to him. With patience and love, he has made wonderful progress and continues to grow more confident every day.<br/><br/>Treeger still faces a few challenges. He can be nervous when walking on a leash, when someone bends down to pet or pick him up, and during car rides. He will need a patient home that understands his past and is willing to help him continue building trust at his own pace.<br/><br/>Despite these hurdles, Treeger’s personality is shining through. He loves playing with toys—especially a fun game of “keep away” with his dog friends! He knows basic commands like “sit” and “wait,” and he’s even learning fun tricks like walking on his back legs from his teenage foster sister.<br/><br/>Treeger does wonderfully with other animals and currently lives peacefully with both big and small dogs, as well as cats. He is cooperative for grooming, including brushing and nail trims, and settles nicely in his crate.<br/><br/>With time, patience, and a loving environment, Treeger will continue to blossom into an amazing companion.<br/><br/>This dog is being fostered in Rochester, NY, by Rescued Treasures Pet Adoptions. We are not a shelter, but a foster home-based rescue, and these animals are all housed individually with foster families.<br/><br/>Please review our application carefully and ensure everyone in the family is ready for the lifelong responsibility and commitment of a canine companion.
