The foster-to-adopt period typically lasts 2–4 weeks and follows our standard foster guidelines. Interested adopters should submit an adoption application noting their interest in the program and the specific dog—they can connect with the adoptions team for more details.

PERSONALITY: The Class Clown: goofy, entertaining, clumsy
I’m very aptly named—I really am a treasure! I’m a very silly and active guy who just wants to spend hours playing with my people. Treasure Chest was in a crate outside the main hallway at the shelter—a place dogs go when the shelter is over capacity. He looked at us patiently and with curiosity every day when we entered the shelter—he would sit staring quietly with the cutest head tilt. Finally, on our last day at the shelter, we knew we wanted to meet him, and we're so glad that we did!

ENERGY LEVEL: Running Buddy (High)

EXPERIENCE WITH:
Kids: Encountered/good with
Dogs: Encountered/good with
Cats: Unknown

FOSTER FEEDBACK:
“TC loves to sit next to me while I do office work. If I'm on a Zoom call, he will put his head in the camera to say hello to everyone on the call. He will come right up to me while I write reports and offers a lot of emotional support."

MEDICAL:
We do our best to ensure the dogs in our care are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed or neutered (when old enough), microchipped, and given a general health check. Immediate medical needs and medical history will be addressed with the adopter prior to adoption. Complete vet records will be sent shortly after adoption.
