Trace - Adoption Pending!'s Story
Meet Trace!

Trace is a sweet, affectionate little pup who absolutely lives for belly rubs. The moment you walk in, he’ll flop right onto his back, waiting for his favorite treat—lots of love and scratches. He adores following his foster family around, cuddling close, and giving everyone plenty of kisses. He also enjoys playing hide-and-seek in the bushes with the other dogs.

Trace has the cutest scruffy fur that sticks up in all directions, making him look like the softest, fluffiest stuffed animal. His coat is incredibly soft, and he’s an excellent snuggler.

Trace is friendly with everyone he meets and gets along great with other dogs. He’s a fairly calm puppy, though he’s becoming more adventurous and playful as he feels better. He loves chew toys of all kinds—bones, ropes, soft toys—and he’s a big fan of balls and chase. He’ll happily run after a frisbee, even if he hasn’t figured out how to pick it up yet. He’s also an excellent travel buddy who curls up and sleeps peacefully in the car.

He is a bit of a barker, but mostly during playtime. One of his cutest habits is coming up to you, placing both front paws on you, and then flopping over dramatically for belly rubs.

Trace is a smart boy who already knows “go potty,” “sit,” and “leave it,” and he’s working hard on recall. He’s very close to being fully house trained. He sleeps through most of the night, occasionally whining for just a minute before settling back down. He’s had no overnight accidents in his crate. Trace is doing wonderfully with house training—he’ll cry at the door when he needs to go out, with only a few minor “number one” accidents indoors.

Overall, Trace is a loving, gentle, and affectionate puppy who would make a wonderful companion for any family—whether they have other dogs or not—as long as they can give him the love and attention he deserves.

Trace is about 5 months old. We do know Trace’s mom was a white german shepherd/husky mix about 40 pounds and his father is unknown. We think maybe aussie mix, but it’s only a guess. FHDR rescued her from an over populated shelter in MS and she is now living in a foster home in NJ.

If you have a furever home for this pet, please e-mail Furever Home Dog Rescue at: FureverHomeDogRescue@gmail.com
The breed and age of this pet is listed as is our best guess. We have no background info his dad are.

Please note we do not adopt puppies/dogs to homes where they will be left alone all day.

We do not have a shelter facility you can visit. Our volunteers foster the dogs and pups in their homes once they have been vetted and transported here to NJ.

Please read our homepage to read how the adoption process works.
