They got along fabulously and played very well together. We also took Torta on walks at the NC Museum of Art and Umstead, where there were lots of people, kids, and other dogs. She handled these environments very well and remained calm. She did not react when other dogs, people, or children crossed our paths. People were definitely drawn to her sweet personality.
Torta did well on the leash. She did great during our longer "hikes," walking nearly 4 miles both days. She did great in the car. She settled in easily and rode calmly.
Torta did not specifically indicate when she needed to go out, but we took her out routinely with our dog, so she may not have needed to signal. She had one accident in the crate the first night after a full day of playing and drinking lots of water
She slept through the night, and also took naps in the crate during the day. Always excited when let out of the crate and ready to greet us with enthusiasm. We did not notice any signs of separation anxiety, and she appeared comfortable and relaxed.
Torta is incredibly sweet and lovable. She was quiet both in the house and while out in public. She spent much of her time happily playing with our dog.
When she wasn't playing, Torta was very cuddly and enjoyed being close to us.
Torta also did very well during bath time.
She also started learning to sit with a little training and appeared to be treat-motivated, which should make continued training easier.
Overall, Torta was wonderful to have and would be a great addition to any home. She is sweet, adaptable, affectionate, and easy to love. We truly enjoyed having her in our home!

Saving Grace Animals for Adoption's Adoption Policy
All puppies and dogs at Saving Grace are crate trained, have been spayed/neutered, are up to date on their vaccinations, are on heartworm preventative and have been microchipped. Their adoption fee is $395.00. Each has been carefully screened for disposition and temperament in order to provide your home with a safe companion that will enjoy life as your new family member. Our Adoption Request Form can be completed online at our website at https://savinggracenc.org/adopt/. An Adoption Request Form is required before setting up an appointment to meet with a potential adoptee or a foster home. Sending an Adoption Form does not commit you to an adoption, it simply provides us with background information on potential homes. If you'd like to donate to help cover the cost of care for these wonderful dogs awaiting new homes, please visit the donate page on our website at https://savinggracenc.org/give/donate-now/. Saving Grace is a small, non-profit 501-C3 organization operated by volunteers only. Most of our animals come from rural animal control shelters where lack of space and resources limit their time and adoption possibilities. Thank you for choosing Saving Grace! We look forward to helping you find your new companion and family member.
