Meet Topper! This dapper gentleman came in after a good-hearted citizen found him wandering around. His microchip information did not allow us to locate an owner. We believe he was dumped. Topper laid in his kennel for about a week completely shut down and wondering why he was at the Pound. Then one day he said, "well screw it…my past is my past & now I want a new family." <br/>Topper currently weighs about 74 lbs, we think he's around 5 years old and his breed is a mystery. He likes to fetch and will drop the ball for you, passed his kid testing, enjoyed the obstacle course, and will tolerate a bath. Topper needs a home with no cats. One of our volunteers took him to the beach and this is what she had to say. “Topper assured me that even though it was hot out and he was a big old black dog he would love to go and put his toes in the sand, so that is exactly what we did. He walks nicely, he really didn’t react to much of anything. What a good old guy, he reminds me so much of my Beauceron mix. But his tail looks like an Irish wolfhound. He would be a fun one to find out just what he’s made of.” <br/><br/>Come check out Topper and our other dogs available for adoption at 2650 Washington Blvd, Crescent City, CA 95531.
