Topeka's Story

Meet Topeka | Apply Here

Miss Topeka is looking fine after her glam makeover! This little lamb is 2 years old and 13lbs - though she probably lost a pound in fluff from her groom

Topeka was originally rescued from a puppy mill we shut down in Ganghwa. Many of the small dogs we found were bound with tight wire on their legs and all in horrible conditions. Despite this, Topeka is calm and sweet, and truly just wants to be loved.

Sweet girl can be a little timid at first and tends to keep her distance to quietly observe. She's very quiet and cute; she's taken up to following her foster mom wherever she goes throughout the day. It may take her some time to warm up, but little by little we're seeing her get more comfortable and start to let her guard down. With this, she would thrive with someone ready to build her up and teach her that she's a strong girl and can conquer the world!

Both inside and out Topeka is proving to be a perfect gal - she loves her crate and takes to it for deep naps and solo time when needed. On walks she's easy breezy beautiful - but she really prefers warm weather and touching the ground; she's quite over all this snow and surely too small for hiking the snow mounds.

If you're not in Kansas anymore either, Topeka would love to meet you! Just remember she's a soft and gentle girlie. Pre-approved applicants can arrange a private meet up with her and her foster family! Just shoot an email to our adoptions team!

You don't have to wait for an adoption event.
