Topaz - Local in Oregon 's Story
He is in a foster home in Oregon area.

Topaz
11 months old

Breed: Corgi, Russia shepherd, pit bull, staffordshire terrier, and American bully.

Notes from his foster family:
Topaz is a very happy, go lucky kinda of guy. He very much has the sweet personality of a lab. He likes saying hi to new people and seems very social with both people and other dogs. He is very food motivated, which has been helpful with teaching him basic commands.

Topaz is very playful and loves playing with my two dogs who are older than him. When he gets overly excited, he struggles a little bit with boundaries with other dogs. He’s not mean or aggressive but when overly excited gets very persistent about wanting to play. Being around my two adult dogs has been a good experience with him as far as learning to read other dogs social cues and respecting other dogs boundaries. He’s made a lot of progress in this department over the past week.

Topaz is potty trained as long as he’s taken out every 2-3hrs to potty he’s pretty good about not going in the house. He’s still learning to communicate when he needs to go out. We are in the process of learning to use the doggy door that leads to the back yard when needing to potty but we aren’t quite there yet, the doggy door is still kind of scary for him at this point.

Topaz walks fairly well on leash and loves going for walks. When excited he pulls a bit but not too bad. When he sees other dogs on walks he pulls and wants to say hi but is redirect-able with treats.

Topaz does not like car rides too much and won’t hop up into the car on his own. Once he’s in the car he does ok. For only being 11 months old Topaz is a very good boy and would make a wonderful family dog or companion for someone.

How to adopt?

Please fill out our Adoption Application and then we will set up a time for you to meet him: https://form.jotform.com/202715925309052

Adoption fee is $600 which includes spay/neuter, microchip, shots up to date and rabies certificate, transport to PNW. (new +$55 transport fee due to fuel costs)

The breeds of the dogs are guesses based on what they look like.
