Toots's Story
Meet Toots

lovingly called Tootsie by her foster family, is a sweet and affectionate girl ready to find her forever home. She is crate trained, potty trained, and walks well on a leash. While she does well with some dogs, she is selective and should not be placed in a home with cats or other small animals.

Toots has a big heart for people—she loves cuddles, back and belly rubs, treats, and spending time with her foster mom (and anyone else she meets!). She's a playful, fun girl with her own unique quirks—she's not a fan of squirrels, apples, or peanut butter (we're still figuring out that one!).

Toots is currently receiving treatment for a skin allergy, and she has a minor eye difference—she doesn't have eyelashes, but she doesn't need surgery and it doesn't slow down her sweet spirit at all. She's a loving girl who kisses everyone she meets, enjoys being close to her person, and is protective of her home and loved ones.

Toots came to us from Waukegan Animal Control, where she was known as Roxie and loved by all staff. She's now ready for a fresh start under her new name, with a family who will love her quirks, her kisses, and her big, loyal heart.

Stop by our weekly adoption events on Saturdays from 12-4 pm at 372 Townline Road in Mundelein, IL 60060 to meet our adoptable animals in person.

Follow us on Facebook for additional updates and sneak peeks of new dogs! https://www.facebook.com/reachrescue
