Tootie 2's Story

Tootie is a sweet, shy little beagle that sadly lived a life she can't tell us much about, so we dont know exactly what made her such a shy and quiet girl and it takes a bit of time to earn her trust but boy oh boy when she trust you then you get to see this adoable, happy, sweet and playful little darling. Tootie sure does deserve a loving home and we aim to find her one. Tootie will need a family that's patient and kind. One that understands Tooties not had a good life until she saved herself by climbing into her rescuers fenced yard. Tootie needs a home with other friendly dogs, she absolutely adores other dogs and we see her eyes light up when she's with them, she lets down her guard and her interactions with other dogs make us smile, she truly loves other dogs. Tootie is seemingly uninterested in cats. Tootie does needs a home with a fenced yard since learning about leash walk-ing is slow going with Tootie. Well let's be honest, Tootie is terrified of a leash. So a fenced yard is an absolute must. We don't know if Tootie will ever be a take out on a leash kind of dog. With Tootie being so shy and skittish we do not recommend a home with children. We fear that happy bouncy kids could frighten her plus she is a major flight risk if a door or gate is left open.

Shirley's Angels Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
*IF AN ANIMAL IS SHOWING ON THE SITE, THEN THEY ARE AVAILABLE* The adoption process can take several business days and your patience is much appreciated as we process your application. We do not do same day adoptions. The process consists of filling out an application and verifying the application information. We will contact your landlord (if applicable) to verify that they are ok with you adopting an animal. We will contact your vet (if applicable) to verify that your pets are current on vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered. We also contact your two personal references so please make sure they are prepared to answer (or return) our phone call. There will be a home visit as part of the adoption process. We operate on a first-come, first-serve policy. The first completed application on a specific animal will place that animal “on hold” while we process your application. However, we do accept multiple applications on one animal. If we decide the first “hold” is not a good match, we move on to the second application and so on, until the right home is found for that particular animal. You must be at least 21 years of age to adopt. If you rent, we will require permission from your landlord in order to allow you to adopt. We reserve the right to refuse an adoption to anyone for any reason.
