Tony's Story
**WE ARE ALWAYS IN NEED OF FOSTER HOMES** Homeward Bound Dog Rescue is an all volunteer rescue organization and all our dogs and puppies are in foster homes - we are not a shelter and do NOT have a facility where we house our dogs. For adoption information go to: www.homewardbounddogrescue.com. You must fill out an application online as we do NOT accept applications at our clinics.

Meet Tony! He is a Jack Russell mix around 4 years old and 15 lbs. Tony was dumped outside the gate of the shelter when they were closed. He gets along with all the dogs he is being fostered with but he is nervous and fearful around dogs and people he does not know so he needs to be introduced properly.

He is housebroken and crate trained but he does make noise in the crate so apartments are not a good match. He needs an active home and a fenced yard because he likes to run. He listens most of the time and loves to cuddle with his person.

Our adoption clinics are held one Saturday a month at our facility in Schenectady on John Street, located directly behind Boulevard Bowl (Erie Boulevard) from 10 am to 12 pm (directions are on our website). We require an approved application before we consider anyone for an adoption - so filling out the application is your first step. Once your application has been reviewed, you will receive an email invitation to attend an adoption event. Different dogs and puppies go up for adoption EVERY WEEK so please feel free to visit the site and click on the Petfinder link for updates as we are adopting dogs out in between adoption events. Puppies and dogs up to 2 years old are $395. Dogs over 2 years old are $295. 100% of the adoption fees go to help us save more dogs.
