Tonka's Story

Tonka was picked up as a stray and faced euthanasia in a rural shelter. We saved his life and he is so appreciative! He loves people and he attends doggie daycare and loves it. Tonka does have a couple issues. One is he is food aggressive with other animals so needs to be fed separately. No issues with people at all. And he has what we believe to be a genetic abnormality. Tonkas internal organs in his abdomen are all shifted to one side. He had exploratory surgery because we thought he might have had a hernia. But everything is normal otherwise. It does not affect his zest for life at all! Tonka is crate trained and leash trained. He has lived his entire life with us other than his first four months which we don't feel were that great. However he harbors no ill will and loves any loving he can get. He just needs his own person to teach him all about the big beautiful world out there and widen his world of experience! Tonka is about 35# and about a year old! He is a great boy!
