Tonka

Tonka is a handsome 6-7-year-old pup who came to us as a stray and is ready to find the forever home he deserves. Just like his name suggests, Tonka is a big, strong guy with a whole lot of love to give! Tonka truck is looking for an experienced adopter who is familiar with larger breeds and understands the importance of being a confident, consistent leader. He is a powerful boy who would thrive with someone who can continue to guide him and help him be the best version of himself. The good news? Tonka is very food motivated and loves to learn! He does great with training and already knows his sit and stay commands. He is also housebroken, making him a great companion for someone looking for a well-mannered adult dog. Tonka is looking for a home where he can be the only pet and where there are no children. Once he gets to know you, Tonka shows his true colors — he is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and loves spending time with his people. If you're looking for a loyal, loving big guy with a big personality, Tonka may be the perfect match for you!

Please copy and paste the link below to fill out our Matchmaker Adoption Application so we may arrange a meet and greet for you!

www.brookhavenny.gov/AnimalShelter
