Toni's Story

Meet Toni

Toni is an absolute sweetheart with a gentle, loving nature. She’s a little reserved at first, but once she feels safe, her calm and affectionate personality truly blossoms.

She has mastered “sit,” is learning to walk on leash, and is doing wonderfully with housebreaking. As long as you watch for her running to the door, she’s got the hang of it.

Toni came into our rescue along with her sister, Tina. Toni is more laid-back than her sister, but she absolutely has her playful moments. She is incredibly eager to please and responds beautifully to positive reinforcement. One of her most adorable quirks is her little “tippy tap” dance when she’s sitting and excited — it’s impossible not to smile when you see it.

She does wonderfully with other dogs of all sizes, even those with big personalities. She is currently being fostered on a farm, and large farm animals made her a bit nervous, but she simply kept her distance.

Toni would thrive in a patient, loving home that takes things slow and helps her continue building confidence. She would be fantastic with kids and is ready to become someone’s devoted, sweet best friend.
