Background:
Tommy Tuna lived with his previous family for about two years, they acquired him at a year old from someone who wanted to give him away or send him to the pound. Sadly, a family member fell ill and they felt they could not care for him like he needed, so they decided to seek help with finding him a suitable home.
He has previously lived and coexisted well with a cat and was raised with a toddler and did very well with them. He is also getting to know dogs and adjusting to their company.
Current Description:
Tommy is a sweet little guy who likes people and wants constant human companionship. He is working on becoming completely house broken, he was trained at a young age to potty on a pad in the house, but we would prefer he potty outside. So he is re learning how to use a crate and where to potty. He has made great progress with potty training! He is also learning that barking for attention is an unwanted behavior.

Type of home they would need now:
He would like a home with people who love to cuddle and someone with some patience as he is figuring out his new routine. But he seems like he will settle in quickly. He will need someone to continue his potty training or someone who doesn't mind a pad trained dog. He has made great progress so far with his potty training !And someone to devote the time to keep boundaries and routine and help him work off excess energy so he doesn't bark when people leave him.
