Tommy's Story
Bio:

Tommy is a one year-four month, male, black, Chi-terrier mix who weighs 13lbs. He could be part spaniel or some type of long hair Pommy mix? We are uncertain of his exact breed. His hair is longer and very soft. He does not appear to shed or is at least a low shedding dog. Poor Tommy was in a strange situation before being rescued. A woman happened to be at a farm auction and saw a crate with two dogs. There was a sign on the crate that said, “Free, brothers, birthday 9/26/22, owner passed”. The dogs looked stressed! Attached is the picture of both brothers at the auction with the sign on top of the cage. Obviously, no one was doing any screening for responsible adopters. No one cared, just wanted them gone. The woman took both dogs to save them from that environment. She wanted to get them into a good rescue where they will be properly vetted, neutered, and protected through a solid adoption process. Tommy is doing well. He loves other dogs, ignores cats and is ready for his forever home. Tommy does walk on a leash and is very loving. He wants to be with his human at all times. This dog has been through a lot and is so deserving of a stable, loving home. He can be a bit shy at first, but quickly warms up. A real sweetheart and would make a wonderful addition to a loving family. And, just FYI ……… Tommy’s brother is also in foster care, but his foster mom is considering adopting him.

Adoption fee $400

Rescue is accepting applications within a fifty mile radius of Sarasota.
