He will benefit from living in a quieter neighborhood and continuing positive reinforcement training to help him develop calmer responses around other dogs.

: Dog Friendly: Tom gets along well with dogs his size or larger and truly thrives with a canine companion. Having a dog friend appears to help him feel more settled and comfortable in the home, so we are requiring that Tom go to a home with a resident dog. He is not a match for homes with small dogs.

: Not Cat Friendly: Does not do well with cats and should live in a cat-free home.

Kid-friendly: Tom may do well with teenagers, but would likely be too much for little ones.

Tom is an extremely curious and observant dog who wants to explore and be part of the action. He is very friendly and playful with other dogs and can play for hours. While he's an independent guy, Tom has a sweet way of seeking affection. When he wants some attention, he'll come over and gently nudge you for pets. Like many husky mixes, Tom is smart, active, loves going for walks, and always looking for something to do. He'll thrive with an adopter who can provide plenty of exercise and enrichment. If you're looking for a friendly, intelligent dog who is ready for adventure, Tom might be the perfect fit.

This pet has not been DNA tested, we are unsure of their actual breed makeup, but these are the breeds we think they look like!

Tom's adoption fee is $300, and this sweet pup can't wait to meet you!

Next steps: Email adopt@onetail.org with questions, or submit an application online and we'll be in touch to schedule a meeting: https://www.onetail.org/apply-to-adopt/.
