Tofu's Story

Tofu is looking for a loving home! This senior princess is around 12 years old and weighs 13 pounds. Since the first day we met her, Tofu has been sweet and friendly. She has met dozens of dogs during her stay and has gotten along well with everyone. Tofu is a gentle, affectionate girl who loves to give love as much as she loves to receive it. During mealtimes, she will bark for her food. She will also occasionally bark when a new person stops by, but isn't overly vocal otherwise. Tofu joined Vintage Pet Rescue last September. First, we focused on regulating her liver values, which were high, but are now in a normal range. Then, she was on several weeks of rest for a partially torn ACL, which is better now. Most recently, Tofu underwent surgery to remove a mass on her front left leg. The biopsy results said it was a peripheral nerve sheath tumor with very little chance of recurrence. We're happy to report that the tumor was completely excised. Tofus is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, and recently had full bloodwork.
