Toby's Story

Meet Toby! He was rescued from an industrial site in Puerto Rico. Toby was attacked by another dog while a volunteer was doing her routine street dog feedings. We noticed his mama cleaning his wounds and took him immediately to be vetted. He remained in foster care until he was healed and ready to be transported to Colorado.

Toby may be a little shy at first, but once he warms up, he transforms into one excited, playful pup! This sweet boy has a heart full of love and affection, and he’s always ready to show it with his adorable belly crawl or bright, contagious smile. Toby loves the company of other dogs and has thrived in foster homes with multiple pups, making him a great companion for any dog-loving family.

Toby is also a big fan of toys and enjoys playing with other dogs. At night, he sleeps soundly in his bed, but he’s always up for snuggles and love—especially if it means being carried around in your arms! Toby is looking for a patient family who can give him time to adjust, and in return, he’ll shower you with endless affection and joy. He is doing well on potty training.
Toby is up to date on his vaccinations, awating neuter and microchipping.

Usually, satos (homeless dogs from Puerto Rico) are a mix of many breeds, some chihuahua, some pit and you name it! By they are always loving and grateful. We do not know what breed mix Toby is, but due to his small size we think he may be a mix of predominantly lab mix. at ~4MO he weighs only 13 lb. We anticipate she will remain small, under 35lb when full grown.

If you are interested in adopting this pup, please fill out the application here:
https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/BSCO/Dog
----------------------------------------------

We ask for a $400 donation as the adoption fee, to help cover the costs of medical services and transport. We are however willing to accept a lesser amount to finalize the adoption with appropriate applicant.
