Since then, this sweet, scruffy boy has been thriving in his foster home and learning what it means to be safe, loved, and playful. Now he’s ready to write the next chapter—with you.<br/>________________________________________<br/>Personality<br/>Toby is the perfect mix of outdoor energy and indoor cuddle-bug.<br/>• Outdoors: Playful, curious, and energetic—he loves walks, dog parks, and exploring nature.<br/>• Indoors: Calm and affectionate—he’ll happily curl up beside you or bring you a toy to start a play session.<br/>• Temperament: Toby is gentle, sweet, and sensitive to loud noises, so he thrives in a calm home with patient, positive reinforcement.<br/>________________________________________<br/>Training & Behavior<br/>Toby is doing incredibly well and continues to make great progress:<br/>• Potty Training: 100% for #2 outdoors; working on #1 (currently 50/50 outdoors & pee pads)<br/>• Crate Training: In progress—he’s still learning to feel safe in enclosed spaces after his shelter experience<br/>• Leash Skills: Walks well after the first few minutes of excited pulling<br/>• Barking: Very minimal—occasional alert bark when someone arrives<br/>• Separation: No anxiety—can be left alone 3–4 hours<br/>• Destruction: None, as long as he gets enough exercise<br/>________________________________________<br/>Compatibility<br/>• Women & Men: Friendly with both—just needs a few minutes to warm up<br/>• Children: Limited experience but has done well with calm children on walks<br/>• Dogs: Loves meeting and playing with other dogs, especially active ones<br/>• Cats & Wildlife: Shows polite interest—no chasing or barking<br/>________________________________________<br/>Health & Preferences<br/>Toby is in great health and up to date on all vet care.<br/>• May have a mild beef sensitivity—currently monitored with a chicken-based diet<br/>• Loves squeaky toys, soft stuffed animals, duck jerky, sweet potato treats, and pig ears<br/>• Does well on short car rides; may feel queasy on long trips<br/>________________________________________<br/>Ideal Home<br/>Toby would thrive in an active, loving household with regular outdoor time and continued training.
