Toby aka Maverick's Story

This Sweet Boy Looking for His Forever Home! <br/>After spending time roaming the streets on his own, this sweet boy is ready to leave that life behind and discover what it means to have a loving family and a safe place to call home. He can be a little timid and shy at first, but don’t let his initial nervousness fool you. With a little patience and kindness, he warms up quickly and his sweet, playful personality comes shining through! He is super smart and working on "sit" and he has learned how to ring the bell to go outside. He is crate trained. He enjoys being around other dogs and would love having a furry friend to play with who can match his high energy level as he is still a puppy. Slow, supervised introductions would be best. A patient and understanding family or individual will be important as he tends to favor females .He displays some fearful behavior towards males as he might have had bad experiences with them prior to being rescued. A secure, fenced-in yard would be ideal, giving him a safe place to explore, play, and enjoy being a dog. He also does well in the car and is happy to ride along with his people! Most of all, this boy needs someone who will show him that he is safe, loved, and finally home. Give him a little time to trust you, and you’ll be rewarded with a sweet and playful companion who will be so grateful to have a person of his own. He’s been waiting long enough for his happily ever after. Could you be the loving companion he’s been looking for?
