Toby's Story

Meet Toby, a small mixed breed terrier with a big personality, a permanent bad hair day, and one big ol snaggle tooth! He's a handsome cream color with wire hair that refuses to behave, and honestly, that just makes him more lovable. Toby enjoys romping and playing, but he's still figuring out this whole "new life" thing after losing his momma, so he may be a little shy at first.
Underneath the scruffy exterior is a softie who loves sleeping under the covers and giving gentle kisses once he decides you're worthy of his trust. Toby is not leash trained yet and will need a patient human who's happy to go slow and help him learn the ropes. He'll also need kind, slow grooming sessions as he builds confidence and learns that he's safe now.
It might not be love at first sight, but Toby is the kind of dog whose love grows deeper every day. Give him time, and he will give you a lifetime of loyalty, cuddles, and wonderfully messy hair.
Fill out a Match Me form online at: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/CAST/Dog to be preapproved.

All C.A.R.E rescue dogs are vaccinated, heart-worm tested, spayed/neutered, and microchipped! So all you need to provide is the love.

Our adoption fee is a minimum $150 tax deductible donation. All donations are used for rescue and medical care of animals in need. If you don't have room to take home a pet but want to support our efforts to save animals in need, please consider making a donation. C.A.R.E. Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
All animals are spayed / neutered before they are available for adoption. This helps reduce pet overpopulation in the Ozarks - the highest in the country. Each animal is current on vaccinations. Both dogs and cats must receive three total sets of vaccinations to prevent deadly animal diseases. All animals at C.A.R.E. are kept current on their vaccinations while in our care (All animals are vaccinated for Bordetella or "kennel cough", DA2PPV, CVK-puppies, DA2PPV, Lepto-adult dogs, FVRCP-C-kittens & adult cats). Dogs and cats above the age of 12 weeks old also receive their rabies shots and are sent home with a rabies certificate, collar, & rabies tag. If a puppy or kitten is adopted before they have received the total three vaccinations, it is the responsibility of the adopter to provide them. Each animal has been dewormed and treated for fleas. Worms are parasites that can cause serious damage to your pet. C.A.R.E. deworms all of the animals in our care.
