Toby's Story

Toby<br/><br/>Meet Toby, a cuddly, energetic, and sweet five-year-old Goldendoodle who weighs fifty-five pounds! He's incredibly affectionate and loves cuddles, attention, and playtime. He's so cuddly that his foster says he'd live inside your skin if he could!<br/><br/>Toby is great with new people, both adults and kids. He's also great with other dogs, loves the dog park, and takes direction from other dogs well. He's potty trained and crate trained, and he does great when left alone, waiting patiently at the door or on the couch without barking or chewing anything. He settled into his foster's apartment quickly and sleeps through the night.<br/><br/>Toby has high energy and needs plenty of exercise. He loves running off leash at the dog park and playing fetch, and he can even catch a ball or toy right out of the air! He knows sit and stay, and he does pull a bit on the leash when he spots birds or other dogs, so open paths with fewer distractions are easiest for walks.<br/><br/>Toby would thrive with an active adopter who spends a lot of time at home, since he loves company. A home with a fenced yard would be ideal, and a family with kids and another dog to play with would be a wonderful match.<br/><br/>What his foster says about him:<br/>"Toby is incredibly sweet. He is EXTREMELY cuddly and basically would live inside of your skin if he could. Any adopter would be lucky to bring him home."<br/><br/>INTERESTED IN ADOPTING?<br/>To adopt apply on our website [www.truenorthrescue.org/adopt](https://www.truenorthrescue.org/adopt) and email adopt@truenorthrescue.org to follow up on your application.<br/><br/>PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL TO ASK IF HE/SHE IS AVAILABLE. IF THIS LISTING IS UP, THE DOG IS NOT ADOPTED YET.<br/><br/>Also, we have a very high volume of applications and we are all volunteers. We cannot respond to every application personally. Please make sure your application gives us a good picture of your family and the life you plan on providing a dog from our rescue. We choose a home based on the BEST FIT for EACH dog and approve on a dog by dog basis. Thank you!

True North Pet Rescue Mission's Adoption Policy
First Step: Submit Your Application True North does not issue blanket approvals, we consider the needs of each specific dog when reviewing applications. If you don't have a specific dog in mind when applying, please note this on your application so that we can keep this in mind when reviewing. We require home photos for all applicants, but can accept a video replacement. Please enter as much detail as possible on your application, this helps us better understand what you are looking for and how this relates to the needs of the dog you have applied for. For puppies under 12 weeks, we require a care plan. This includes a plan for when the dog will be left alone, as puppies younger than 12 weeks should not be left alone longer than 2-3 hours at a time. Please Note: Due to the high volume of applications we receive, it is not always possible to reply to everyone. If your application is approved, you can expect the following. Second Step: Application Review & Approval 1. If your application is approved, an email will be sent connecting you with the dog's current foster. At this time, you may schedule a mutually convenient time to meet. 2. After meeting, you have 24 hours to confirm if you would like to move forward with finalizing the adoption. After this, if we have not heard from you, we will begin scheduling other meets. 3. If you choose to finalize, we will issue an adoption contract via email. Once the signed agreement has been electronically returned along with the adoption fee (which will be disclosed prior to adopting), you will be all set to coordinate for pick-up with the foster! Adoption Fees: Our adoption fees are comparable to those found amongst other well-known rescues in the city. We only accept electronic payments for adoption fees.
