The first thing you'll notice about him is... he is loud. 😂 He's all bark and no bite -- a goofy, vocal wild child who uses his voice to tell the world how he feels. Underneath all that noise, though, he's incredibly sweet.<br/><br/>Tobias is a bit unsure when meeting new people and may bark or growl at first, but he is very food-motivated and can be won over quickly with treats and kindness. Once he trusts you, his gentle, affectionate side shines. Outside his kennel he is a super sweet boy who just wants to be near his people.<br/><br/>He enjoys the company of other dogs and does especially well with confident dogs around his size -- he's used to sharing his space with other pups. He did great meeting small dogs and was a little nervous around a large poodle, but still showed interest in making friends. One adorable thing he does? He loves following Wilma around like her tiny shadow. 💛<br/><br/>Tobias may not be a couch potato all the time -- he's more of a spirited little adventurer -- but he does love napping on couches and riding in cars. He would do best in a patient home willing to give him the time he needs to settle in and learn that the world is safe. With time and consistency, he will be a wonderful, loyal companion.<br/><br/>We are unsure how he is with kids or cats.<br/><br/>✨ Medical Info:<br/>Tobias is vaccinated, flea & tick treated, tested negative for heartworm and Lyme, and will be microchipped and neutered before adoption.<br/><br/>If you're looking for a quirky, vocal, lovable little guy who just needs a chance -- Tobias may be your perfect match! 🐶💕<br/><br/>You can apply on our website www.highlandhumanesociety.org OR stop into the shelter 12- 5 pm Tuesday through Friday or 11 am to 3 pm on Saturday to meet who is available at that time. Please arrive no later than 30 minutes before we close to ensure we have time to do the adoption.<br/><br/>Take advantage of our foster-to-adopt program, where you can take any dog 4 mos and older home for a week to make sure it is a good fit before committing to adoption.
