Toast's Story

Toast is an affectionate and loyal pup, born on June 22, 2024. He is a purebred Great Pyrenees who currently weighs close to 80 lbs. His dad is 120 lbs and we believe Toast will be close to that weight when full grown. This sweet boy absolutely adores cuddles and will happily snuggle up with you anytime. When he's not enjoying some quality cuddle time, Toast is busy guarding the yard from those pesky squirrels and playing with his sibling, Butter.
Toast will require a fenced in backyard. Once he's introduced to children and smaller dogs, he loves them, but some situations require a slower introduction. Although he won't be high energy in three years, his adolescent brain needs daily activities to keep him engaged and happy.
Toast is a pleasure to walk on a leash, showing off his good manners with every step. He is, however, currently working through some separation-related anxieties. He does well in his crate for a few hours at a time, and we're actively helping him build his confidence with short absences. We have set him on the right path by being fostered by a professional dog trainer and he is progressing wonderfully and knows all his basic commands.
Toast has a distinctive bark that fits his breed standard, making him an excellent alert system for any potential visitors. He finds great comfort in following his sister, Butter, around and doesn't do well as a solo pup. Toast would thrive in a home with another dog, preferably one that can offer companionship and support.
Toast is ready to bring joy, loyalty, and lots of love to his forever home. We are requiring an adoptive family who is familiar with the breed. For more information or an application, please contact love2rescue25@gmail.com
