Titan 's Story

Hi! My name is Titan. I am a 2.5 yr old herding "mutt" (cattle dog, border collie, terrier and a few other things thrown). I was picked up with my brother (Bear) on an Eastern Utah reservation-- tiny, starved and scared. Luckily we found rescue with Herding Haven and have gained weight and confidence. Now I just need a furever home of my own! I can be a bit selective with my doggy friends. I love wrestling with some of my doggy foster brothers and sisters...others...not so much (but, hey, I bet you have people you don't like to spend time with either!). My ideal home would be a with an active family who will walk me daily and take me on fun outdoor adventures on the weekend. Because of my herding dog tendencies, I would not be a good fit for a home with toddlers. Older (> 10 yr) dog savvy kids would be OK. I'm super smart and learn really quick. I already know "sit" and "come". My recall is really good for such a young pup. My foster mom says I will make a great off leash hiking partner with just a but more training. I am crate-trained, house-broken and walk well on a leash. I am neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on my vaccinations. If you are interested in meeting me, please contact kathie@herdinghaven.org

Herding Haven rescues herding dogs from shelters where they have been deemed "unadaptable" due to physical, medical or behavioral issues (or sometimes just because the shelter is out of space). We place them in foster homes, rehabilitate them and then find them "forever" homes.
