Tita's Story
It is finally time to introduce Tita!

Forty-two days ago, this terrified little girl (3 years old, 11lbs, mixed breed) arrived from Oklahoma. At first, she looked like she had a heart two sizes too small… but we had a feeling, deep down, we could help it grow three sizes — it was just going to take more than a day.

And wow, has she made progress. While her journey is slow, it has been absolutely worth it. She hasn't stolen a single present from under the tree… but she has completely stolen our hearts!

But every Whoville story needs the right ending, and for Tita, that means finding a family who can help her heart keep growing.

Tita will need:
• A fenced yard (no exceptions)
• Another small, confident dog to show her the ropes (A meet and greet with the dogs is required)
• Humans who understand that she wants to be near the people… just not too close quite yet. Let her come to you...on her terms
• Patience, kindness, and a commitment to helping her learn that the world isn’t so scary. We will be carefully choosing her just right, perfect fit family

She’s quiet as a mouse in her kennel, still working on potty training, and learning that love doesn’t have to be frightening.

She’s not quite ready to spread holiday cheer at PetSmart events — she needs her confidence to grow a bit more first.

To meet Tita:
Please submit an application at adoptapal.org/adopt and if we feel you may be a good fit for our little Grinch-turned-Who, we’ll schedule a private meet-and-greet so she can shine in a quieter, comfortable setting.

Her heart is already growing… now she just needs the right family to help it grow the rest of the way.
