Tipsy's Story

TIPSY MUST BE THE ONLY DOG IN HER HOME.

She was cat tested and is ok with cats.

Tipsy is a 5–6-year-old hound mix searching for her forever family. She’s small but mighty, beautiful with a rich dark brown coat and bright eyes. Little Tipsy is high energy, loves the outdoors, and all types of weather. Although reserved around new people, she loves everyone she knows and loves snuggling. She will happily leap into your lap, cuddle up next to you, and enjoy all the hugs she can get. She’s intelligent, attentive, and alert. She learned the sit command in three tries and is well on her way to knowing the watch command. Tipsy can be fearful of large tractor trailer rigs and heavy equipment but is in the process of figuring out that they aren’t that bad (she’s very good at figuring things out!), and she’s become much braver around big noisy things.

This pet is spayed or neutered in accordance with our strict policy wherein all animals are altered prior to adoption. This pet is de-wormed, current on vaccines, and started on monthly flea/tick preventatives.

Animal Alliance does not adopt adult dogs (over 9 months old) into households with children under 9 years of age due to the risk of bites. Puppies 9 months of age or younger can be adopted into households with young children ages 4 and older. We do not adopt to families with children 3 years and younger or expectant families due to the safety risk for infants and toddlers.

Prior to submitting an application, please see the Animal Alliance Adoption Process for adoption details.

Animal Alliance is not a shelter where all the animals are housed in one location. Animal Alliance is a foster care network and animals are housed in many different locations. If you are interested in adopting a pet, please apply using the online application; applicants who call our phone line will hear a recorded voicemail with this identical message. We adopt many animals each week and meet prospective adopters at various locations so they can meet the animals they are interested in.

To fill out an adoption application, go to:
https://www.animalalliancenj.org/fosteradoption-application/
