Tiny Tim - In a Victoria foster home! Mixed Breed Victoria, BC

Tiny Tim is a sweet 1 year old mixed breed boy who weighs around 55 pounds and who comes from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, but is currently being fostered in Victoria, BC

Tim had a hard start to life, as a baby who didnt get to be raised by his mama. He and his sibling were very sick, and only 2 of them survived. Despite this rough start, Tim is a sweet guy who has a real zest for life. He is sweet with people and looks forward to new adventures.

Tim is a high energy guy, and is looking for a home who has experience with higher energy breeds and how to mentally and physically tire them. He is still young so will mellow out with age and training.

Tim is such a smart guy and he picks up on behaviours and training so well. He used to walk perfectly on leash, but since being in his foster home, he has gone on walks with his foster sister who is a fearful/ reactive girl and has picked up on some cues from her on leash. Right now he does need to work on his leash excitability as he can get pretty stoked when he sees other dogs! He does this mostly only when with her (which is understandable for pretty much any dog!) . When he is walked on his own he can still bark but simply because he is excited and wants to say hi to dogs he sees in a distance and just needs help controlling his excitement.
He has recently been working with a trainer who helps mexpup and is already picking up on the corrections with ease, and we know can get back to controlling his excitement on walks.

He loves to play fetch, and would do so well on big adventures such as hikes, or even with agility type things !
He lives with two dogs currently, one older who he leaves alone, and the one younger who he wants to play with all the time. Because Tim didnt have a mama to teach him his general social cues, he sometimes doesnt get the hint when a dog is telling him they no longer want to play and can be a bit annoying to a non playful dog, so it will be important for a dog in his home to either be equally playful, or if not, for his people just to know that they need to teach him these cues.

Tim previously lived with dog savvy cats and had no issues, but since in his foster, his foster sister Joey chases their cat and Tim has followed suit. A cat free home would probably be best, but for someone super committed to the process, a home with a dog savvy cat could likely become fine again.

Kids for Tim would be fine, but just due to his energy and excitability we would say super young kids may not be a fit as we would hate for him to accidentally knock them over.

Tim really is a big baby who is so joyful and just wants to experience all that life has to offer, and he is hoping to find his forever person who can show him that, while teaching him how to be the best boy possible.
