Tinsel's Story
Please read the bio in full for answers to your questions. In the event you have a question that is not covered in the bio, please email info@seniordoghaven.org. If interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application which can be found at https://seniordoghaven.org/adoption-process/. Please note that because all our dogs live in foster homes, we are unable to set up meetings with a dog unless we have a completed adoption application on file. Adoptions must be within a reasonable distance from Exton, Pennsylvania for our volunteers to be able to conduct an in-person home visit.

Tinsel is a 3-year-old Chihuahua/Pomeranian mix currently in foster care and weighing just over 11 pounds. She is a sweet, gentle girl who may be a bit shy at first, but with patience and affection she quickly warms up and becomes very attached to her person. Tinsel is a true cuddle bug and loves being close, enjoying lap time and sleeping in bed with her foster. She is active, walks well on a leash, is crate trained, and is almost fully housebroken.

Tinsel is good with other dogs and children ages 4 and up, though she does best with dogs who respect her boundaries and are not overly pushy. She is not a big barker and has been very quiet in her foster home. Her ideal home would be a calm environment with an enclosed or fenced yard where she can safely run and explore, though she could also do well in a home without a yard if she receives consistent daily walks.

She is spayed, does not require any monthly medications, and does not need a prescription diet, though she can be a picky eater and prefers canned food. Tinsel has mildly sensitive skin that causes occasional scratching but is manageable. She came to rescue as an owner surrender and is now ready for a loving forever home where she can feel safe, secure, and cherished.
