Tinsel 2025's Story

TINSEL is a fun and affectionate young mixed breed girl looking for a home. She's beautiful, playful and eager to please. Tinsel is right around 1 year old, give or take a month and fully grown at 29 pounds, a perfect small/medium size. Her breed mix is a mystery, we're guessing some type of beagle/lab mix. Tinsel's happy place is running and romping in the yard with other dogs or cuddled up with her human besties. She came to the rescue with her siblings Kringle and Merry. She's unaccustomed to life as an only dog and is best suited to home where she will have a playful dog sibling. Tinsel is a sitter, not a setter, a sitter. Whenever we try to take photos she puts herself into a sit trying to figure out what she needs to do to get a treat. She also loves to roll over for a nice belly rub. Tinsel is housebroken and crate trained. She's curious about cats and does try to play with kitty in her foster home. Tinsel is in active girl best suited to a home with a physically fenced yard and a well-stocked toy box. She has a low-maintenance short red coat and a bobbed tail. If you'd like to meet Tinsel please fill out a dog adoption application at
dreamhouserescue.org.
We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can Tinsel at our weekly adoption event, Saturday
11:30am-1:30pm
at PetSmart Eastgate.

Our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention.
