I think the little whines so adorable, he's just saying "hey momma, can you help me". His big whines can be sad since that means he's really scared or I've missed a need (like opening the door to go potty!)
• His vision is impaired and if I were to guess, I would say that his depth perception is most affected as I've noticed he does not trust stairs or ramps, he walks up them as if he doesn't trust where they are. He also "leaps" (very cutely I might add) over door thresholds as if they are much higher than they actually are. He can trip over things like tree roots as if he doesn't see them or sees them as farther away than they are. He also flinches when you go to pet him as I don't think he sees how far away or how fast your hand is going, so slow hand gestures are best - but he loves his pets!
• He needs hugs! At various points throughout the day he will need some hugs, usually mid-morning and mid to late afternoon he will be asking for hugs and you can tell he's a little worried or unsure (who wouldn't be after losing their first home!). If you hold him for a few minutes, he relaxes and then he's happy to get back down.
• He doesn't love being left home without his people. While he is not destructive and never misbehaves, he will walk around looking for you and sometimes whine before he eventually settles. So, he'll do best in a home where his people are home almost all the time or can take him along.
Other important things to know about Tinny:
• He's had no accidents in the house and only potties outside
• He does not resource guard
• He eats well, but can be a little picky (sprinkle on some cheddar cheese please!)
• He doesn't seem to need any toys, although he will chase after a ball as far as he can see it
• He will need walks, he loves walks and they are very good for him
• He is very respectful of other dogs' space and their queues

If you’re looking for a buddy to hang out with, sit on the couch and watch a movie together... then Tinny is your guy.

Tinny's foster says,
If you want a best friend and ride-or-die, Tinny is your man. He loves meeting other dogs, even though he's not really into play time, so taking him out in public is so much fun. He loves to go on walks, whether it's just on sidewalks or rough trails.
He loves to snuggle with you which makes TV time and sleep time so much fun and relaxing. He's a great sleeper, he will spoon you if you want him to or just sleep near you - and if I have to get up early, he can sleep in by himself.
He LOVES his people and wants to be near me always, he doesn't love when I must leave but he's always a good boy and never does anything bad when I'm gone.
He has surprisingly soft and thick fur, you can't tell from the pictures, but it is so luxurious that petting him is a real treat.
strangers immediately love him!
While he may not have decades left, that doesn't matter, because what he gives each day is unlimited, you will have no shortage of laughs and memories, whether Tinny's around for one or 10 years!

Tinny is microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and already neutered.

*** Donation is $275 to continue our work
***TINNY IS IN OUR "SENIOR FOR SENIORS PROGRAM" Seniors receive $50 off adoption
*** Apply online at furfriendsrescue.com
***We do not DNA test and do not guarantee breed purity or accuracy
