Tina Salvare (CONC-A-7993)'s Story
Meet Tina: The Sweet English Bulldog with a Signature Smile!

Look at that precious face! Tina has the classic English Bulldog smile down pat, making her an absolute delight to behold. She is one of the "Salvare" family members rescued from a challenging situation.

About Tina:

DOB: 01/01/2021
Weight: 48 pounds
Personality: Gentle, sweet, and obsessed with squeaky toys
Ideal Home: Experienced English Bulldog owners, friendly with other dogs, and potentially children

Tina knows nothing but kindness and radiates joy. She's a gentle soul that loves belly rubs and turns into a playful puppy at the sound of a squeaky toy. Tina enjoys cuddling up on blankets for naps and would love to snuggle up with her person. Friendly with other dogs, Tina could thrive with a canine sibling or two, and her gentle nature suggests she might be fine with children.

When Tina was first rescued, she constantly leaked urine and we were unsure if her issues were due to untreated bladder infections or incontinence. After seeing a specialist and having a CT scan done, it was discovered that Tina has an anatomical birth defect known as ectopic ureters. Ureters are small tubes that drain urine from the kidneys to the bladder, and in Tina's case her ureters do not attach to their normal location in the bladder. Tina has had several surgeries with NC State Vet School to help correct this issue, including an experimental-first of its kind surgery done in dogs. While all of Tina's corrective surgeries have improved her quality of life, she will always deal with some level of urinary incontinence. She does well wearing a diaper, and doesn't let her situation dampen her spirit!

If you're ready to open your heart and home to Tina's infectious joy, please call us at (704) 784-7387 to schedule an appointment and meet this sweet English Bulldog. Let Tina bring love and happiness to your household!
