Tina's Story

Meet Tina!

Tina is a gentle soul in a petite, 35-pound package, and at just 7 months old she’s still learning that the world can be a kind and safe place. She’s sweet, soft, and very shy at first—but once Tina decides you’re her person, she gives you her whole heart. Her trust, once earned, is deep and unwavering.

Tina would truly thrive in a calm, patient home where things move at a quieter pace. Having at least one confident, friendly dog in the home would be a huge bonus for her—she takes comfort in other dogs and blossoms when she has a canine role model by her side. She does well with cats and would be happiest in a household without young, high-energy children, as loud or fast movements can be scary for her right now. With continued gentle socialization and reassurance, she will keep building confidence every day.

This is not a dog who needs constant excitement—Tina is for someone who understands the beauty of a slow bond, who finds joy in watching a shy dog come out of her shell, and who will celebrate the quiet moments when she chooses to curl up nearby, knowing she’s finally safe.

If you’re looking for a loyal, tender companion and are willing to give her patience, consistency, and love, Tina will reward you with a connection that feels incredibly special. She’s the kind of dog who doesn’t give her heart to just anyone—but when she gives it to you, it’s forever.

Adoption Link:
https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/TGD/Dog
