My name is Tim, and I have been at Red Fern for a long time. My sister and I were dumped at a neighboring farm three years ago. I was very shy then, and no one was interested in taking me home with them. My sister found a wonderful home in the North, and she often swims at Cape Cod. I do have a wading pool during the hot summers, and I like that. Please don't think I'm complaining--I'm not. I'm not that kind of dog. I love it here at Red Fern. I love the people who tell me each day what a good dog I am, and I know they love me so much. You can see by my pictures that I would rather be close to my human than anywhere else. They seem sad sometimes, though, and I wonder if it's because my sister has had the undivided love and attention of a good family while I've had to share with more than a hundred other dogs. I'm no longer a shy boy, although I am quiet most of the time. I'm not afraid of people. I've only been treated with kindness and gentleness since living here. Maybe they're right. Maybe it is time for me to move to a real home--the kind where you're the most special dog in the world. Yes, I would love that. Maybe you would like to take me home.
