Tilly's Story

Hi, my name is Tilly and I’m about 2 years old. I am looking for my forever home. I was displaced due to having issues with the other resident dog in my previous home. I’m not really sure if I just didn’t like that dog or if I don’t really like any dogs. I’m sure many of you humans can understand, I bet some of you just think other people are annoying-is it the person? is it just people in general? Same with me, just not sure how I feel. ?????

I lived in the country and I have come to my Foster Hooman’s home in the city. I have been adjusting quickly to the new environment and the city noise and having neighbors. I have learned quickly and the sirens ? will make me want to howl back at them. I have a high prey drive so if you have any critter problems I will solve them…including if one of those critters is a meow meow ? . I love the outdoors and if the weather is nice I will patrol outside to make sure the squirrels ? and rabbits ? don't ever get out of line. I am really enjoying the indoors lately as it seems those pesky squirrels have decided that they are done roaming around so my work is done for now. My foster hooman says I crate very well. I will get in the crate and not put up much of a fuss. He says I don't have the separation anxiety many weims seem to have. I have good manners in the house. If you leave some tasty things out on the counter it might be way too tempting to say no to, especially if it’s bacon and who doesn't like bacon? —speaking hypothetically of course, I have no previous experience with this delectable meat. ? I know several commands already like sit, stay, leave it, down, and I just learned to shake. I have done well with other hoomans and kids from 6 years old to 10 and several of them. I like to play and I get zoomies and I know how to fetch and playing tug of war my favorite. I am still learning the leash. I like to learn so I am sure I will get better with it. My ideal home would be a place where I am a single dog, no cats, and a fenced yard.
If you think your family would make a good match, fill out an application at www.iowaweimrescue.org.
I’m fostered in Davenport, IA and my adoption fee is $250.
I’m fully up to date on vaccinations, spayed, and microchipped!
