Tiger's Story
MEET TIGER!

Tiger & his brother Tanner came to our rescue after their dad died in September and a neighbor started caring for them. See below for info from her!

Tiger is the sweetest boy in the neighborhood! Calm, cool, and collected. Always watching what is going on around as he lopes around! Tiger is the one that will stick by your side, sit/lay on your feet and or be a lap dog! He is FULL of all the snuggles. He loves children and will run and play! He has great manners and follows commands diligently! Tiger needs a 6ft fence. He leaves the yard and follows me home after I check on them. I honestly feel like if he was getting the love and attention he needs he will stay put. He misses his daddy.

Tiger is heartworm positive but has already halfway through his treatment. He can be adopted locally (Houston, Tx, and the surrounding area) or will be eligible for transport once his treatment is completed.

Having a dog that is heartworm positive is not a death sentence, so don't despair or let that dissuade you from giving a home to a heartworm-positive dog.

It is not uncommon for dogs that were not put on a monthly preventative to test positive for heartworms. Heartworms are NOT contagious to other dogs or humans. Heartworms are ONLY transmitted through the bite of a mosquito. Many dogs go through treatment and recover with little to no side effects to living many years happy and healthy.

The highlights:

- Tiger: husky/ shepherd mix male
- 80ish#
- good with all people, kids of all ages
- good with other dogs
- good with cats
- has been fostered with a trainer and is fully housebroken and kennel trained.
- vaccinated, microchipped, neutered

———————————
All PETronus Rescue dogs receive basic vaccinations (distemper/parvo, bordetella, & rabies), spay/ neuter, and microchip prior to adoption. We also treat any know medical issues, including heartworms.

Our dogs live in foster homes while they wait patiently for their forever families to find them. This is beneficial in that they learn house manners, crate training, housebreaking, etc while they wait and we are also able to get a very realistic picture of their energy level, temperament, etc so that we can place them in a home that is the best fit.

Our adoption fees are $200 for dogs over 1 year of age and $250 for dogs under 1 year of age. Puppies receive 3 rounds of puppy vaccinations.

If you are interested in adopting one of our amazing dogs, please fill out our adoption application here http://bit.ly/PRAdoption and we will be in touch!
