Tig's Story

Meet Tig aka Tig-A-Roo

Tig is currently in a training program learning to be the bestest girl—working on her house manners, leash manners, and focusing on her person during field trips. She is crate trained, which will be a great tool to maintain long-term for travel, rest, or unexpected situations.

Tig is a beautiful, fun, goofy girl who is eager to please, loves to play, and is blossoming into a big, wiggly sweetheart. She is also learning to be a confident girl while exploring on her training field trips throughout California with her trainer. Tig does have a little bit of timidity and insecurity, but we are working on building her confidence through training.

She is learning proper socialization around other dogs on leash. Unfortunately, Tig was put in situations in the past that did not turn out well, so we want to refrain from off-leash dog parks or off-leash dog areas. Tig can absolutely coexist with other dogs in a controlled environment with neutral, well-behaved pups, but she is not a fan of pushy or rude dogs in her face. She is currently living with multiple dogs with her trainer.

Tig is absolutely a cuddle bug and a big lover. She enjoys engaging with her people in fun activities, and she loves training with her humans—which builds a stronger bond while reinforcing all the hard work she’s put into learning.

We would love to find that perfect person or family who wants to continue Tig’s training and help her grow into the best all-around forever pup. You’ll also have free private one-on-one sessions with her trainer to learn alongside her, plus access to monthly group classes in Livermore, California.
