Tiana's Story

Tiana is a playful and fun 6 month old puppy with a heart that just wants to love and be loved. Tiana is hoping someone will see her and say, “She’s the one.” Tiana has sweetest eyes and is just full of loyal love and puppy happiness. Tiana is a 100% sweetheart. Tiana loves to bask in the sun, snooze by your feet, and give her whole heart to the people who care for her. Tiana is deeply affectionate and endlessly loyal, she thrives on cuddles, companionship, and being near her people. She's been lovingly nicknamed “the shadow” because wherever you go, she’ll be trotting right behind, ready to offer a nose nudge or a wagging tail! Tiana would be great with kids and would happily make herself part of their bedtime stories, pillow forts, and backyard adventures. Tiana loves the outdoors and a wide-open space to run. Long Road Home's Adoption Policy

Where do we get our dogs? Majority of our dogs come from high kill shelters. Some are owner surrender or strays. All of the dogs that come into our rescue have been in high emergency situations where they would not be wagging their tails. We work with a lot of shelters in the south as well as on long island. We have wonderful people who dedicate their time to the dogs and transport them into our long island foster homes. What happens to the dog after we accept it into the program? All of the dogs first go to see a vet. Once they receive a clean bill of health the go into a home. We normally give each dog at least a week in a home with qualified trainer before we place the dog into a foster. We really like to have the dogs house broken and to have at least started basic obedience training. After the trainer we place the dog into its new foster home until it finds its forever home.
