Tia's Story
***EXPERIENCED ADOPTERS ONLY***

I need an adopter who can help me overcome my stranger reactivity and assist with basic socialization

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My name is Tia but my friends here call me Titi

My journey with H4PHS began on a warm Monday morning in June. The shelter received an animal control call for an "aggressive pit bull" who had been chained up and abandoned in a park restroom. To no fault of my own, I was absolutely terrified and unsure of these new humans approaching me. Thanks to the help of some tasty chicken jerky, I let my kennel mom unchain me from the accessibility railing that I slept chained to for the night. I was too afraid to hop in the back of the van and decided that the passenger seat was the spot for me! Mom and I road back to the shelter together and the rest is history. I am ready for a new leash on life and hope that you will not take our first meeting too personally. Give me a chance to open up and I promise you will not be disappointed. I am searching for an adult only household but may be willing to live with a male dog my size or larger. No cats for me though please!

Let's write our very own happy ending. Stop by the shelter and ask to meet me today!
