Thunder's Story

He is currently in a foster home. His foster parents tell us that he is the best house guest. Thunder is house trained, walks well on a leash, and is an overall laid back dog. He loves food and treats and pets and naps.

If we know one thing for sure, it's that an elderly dog shouldn't be in a shelter.

Thunder is a senior who came to us after neglect left him hurting, underweight, and medically fragile. He arrived with multiple untreated conditions that clearly developed over a long period of time. Despite everything his body has endured, Thunder's spirit is still gentle and kind.

This sweet old man did not choose neglect. He did not choose pain or abandonment. What he does deserve is dignity, comfort, and a safe place to rest - whether that's for months or years.

If you have room in your heart and home for a senior dog who still has so much love to give, please consider Thunder. His ending doesn't have to be sad. It can be warm, peaceful, and filled with kindness.

If you are interested in adopting, please come prepared --bring a photo ID, proof of address, and everyone in the home including resident dogs with vaccination history. We are open daily 11-5pm.
---
The Pennsylvania SPCA - Main Line Animal Rescue
1149 Pike Springs Rd
Chester Springs, PA 19425
Kennel #2857
610-933-0606
info@mlar.org
