MEET THUMPER!

Thumper is a sweet, calm and quiet Beagle mix who has settled into her foster home nicely where she now knows she will receive the love and care she deserves as she waits to find her forever home. She was timid at first but has come out of her shell each day, exploring her foster home and learning to trust her person.
Thumper is completely housebroken and likes to spend time lounging on her dog bed in her spot in the dining room. She enjoyed Christmas morning with her foster family, sitting around together and opening up presents from Santa Paws!

Thumper knows to do her business in the yard and sometimes needs some coaxing to go out on her own. She also loves to go for walks and hikes once you get her going and out the door but she does need to be picked up to go in the car as she doesn’t go in on her own. She is strong on the leash and will need a strong, confident handler.

Thumper likes being around other dogs who are calm and quiet, and especially likes little dogs and is great around her foster family’s cat. She keeps to herself and doesn’t bother much with her foster family’s items, not destructive at all, and is comfortable being on her own. She will let you touch her paws, belly and tail as she gets more comfortable with you.

Thumper is a sweet, timid and quiet dog as she rarely barks, only occasionally when she plays with other dogs. Her perfect home would be one with a calm environment as she doesn’t like
loud noises of any kind (voices, cars, appliances, etc.)
and one willing to work with her on listening to commands, such as sit and stay. She’s not a fan of stairs or the cold weather and pays no mind to biscuit treats, only the chewy meat flavored kind.
