Thor's Story

Thor is a young German Shepherd, approx 1-2 yrs old, who just joined the CCR family, and we’re already so excited about this handsome boy’s journey. He’s dog friendly, has been cat tested and did well, and is both house trained and crate trained, a pretty great start for a new arrival!<br/><br/>Right now, Thor is extremely underweight, so our main focus will be helping him pack on some much-needed pounds, decompress, and truly flourish in his foster home. With some good food, love, and patience, we know this boy is going to shine

Catskill Canine Rescue's Adoption Policy

Our adoption process begins with a thorough review of both professional and personal references. This is followed by an in-depth interview with the potential adopters. Subsequently, we conduct a comprehensive home visit to assess the suitability of their living environment. If the potential adopters have existing dogs, we arrange a meet-and-greet session between their dog and our dog to ensure compatibility. Upon successful completion of all these steps, the potential adopters may proceed with the adoption of one of our dogs.
