Thomas's Story
Thomas came to us from Fort Worth Animal Services and is very much a heeler through and through. Loyal, smart, observant — and deeply bonded once he trusts you.

Thomas will need a special, experienced home that understands herding breeds. He seems to prefer women and bonds more quickly with them, though he does interact appropriately with men in open spaces like the yard. In confined spaces such as a kennel, he can be more guarded.

Thomas can be mouthy, which is typical herding behavior, especially when overstimulated. Because of this, he would do best in an adult-only home (or possibly older, dog-savvy teens) with someone experienced in working breeds who can provide structure, leadership, and mental stimulation.

Thomas is about 4 years old, 40lbs and fully potty trained, uses a doggy door reliably with no accidents in the home, and walks well on leash.

For the right person who understands heelers, Thomas will be an incredibly devoted and loyal companion.

To learn more about Thomas, please follow the link below and complete an adoption application :

https://form.jotform.com/232547694860164
