Theodore's Story
Pop Up Promo! ACC is over capacity, so I'm currently living in a pop up crate. My adoption fee is waived, and my adoption comes with a $50 Chewy gift card.

Meet Theodore!Theodore is an energetic, playful boy who is always ready for his next adventure! He loves exploring, gets wonderfully wiggly around new friends, and has shown that he can be a social and playful companion with other dogs. He's still working on his manners, but with the right person to help channel his enthusiasm, Theodore has all the makings of a fun-loving best friend.

My Ideal HomeTheodore would thrive with an active family who can give him plenty of exercise, enrichment, and opportunities to learn. He'll benefit from positive-reinforcement training to help him practice calm greetings, Sit and Off, and keeping his mouth and leash out of the fun. Food puzzles, long-lasting chews, and games will help keep his busy brain happily occupied.

Good with Other Pets?Theodore's history with other dogs is unknown since he came to us as a stray, but he had a wonderful recent introduction with another dog. The two enjoyed play bows, chase, and playful nipping, taking breaks before choosing to play again. He can become overly excited when passing dogs in their kennels, so he'll need thoughtful management and continued positive-reinforcement training around dogs on leash.

Good with Kids?Because Theodore can be very enthusiastic and has been working on his jumping and impulse control, we recommend a home without young children. His new family should be prepared to help him practice calmer ways to greet people and manage his excitement.

Things to KnowTheodore is a high-energy guy who moves through the world with plenty of enthusiasm. He may jump up when he's excited and has shown some playful mouthiness and interest in grabbing his leash, so he'll need a family who enjoys training and can redirect him toward appropriate behaviors.
Primary Color: Brown Weight: 42lbs Age: 3yrs 8mths 2wks Animal has been Neutered
