Theodora's Story

Meet Theodora! She is about one year old. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations.

Theodora is your typical pittie mix. She is a big ball of energy who loves to bounce around and explore. She is goofy and fun, and the perfect adventure buddy. Her favorite thing to do is rolling around in the dirt, asking volunteers and visitors for belly rubs. Theodora would do best in a home where she can get lots of walks or go on hikes. We think she would greatly benefit from mentally enriching activities as well, such as puzzle toys or snuffle mats. She has a tendency to bark behind the gate, but she is actually very friendly and sweet, especially if you happen to have treats!

Theodora does not seem to have much training. She will require some patience as she adjusts to her new home. We would recommend kennel training for her. She does show some signs of separation anxiety, so a kennel could be beneficial in her transition. She may need some help with potty training as well. She is very food motivated and does seem eager to learn!

Theodora came to our facility after being found as a stray. Because of this, we do not know much about her background. We do not know how she does with cats or other dogs. She has met children at the facility, and did well with them. She may be a bit too excitable for very young children, however. If you have another dog in the home, we do require a dog introduction to be done here at the shelter, with an approved application. A seven-day foster period is included with every adoption to ensure it's a good fit for everyone.

If you would like to meet Theodora, feel free to stop by any time we're open! Our open hours are 2pm-6pm Monday-Saturday. Dog kennels close at 5pm and adoptions end at 5:30pm.
