Theo's Story
Theo is a 6-month old, 8-pound Terrier-mix puppy who has every quality you’d want in a puppy: He’s happy-go-lucky, playful, clumsy, loves EVERYBODY (dogs, cats and people) and very, very affectionate.

Theo now lives in a foster home with 7 dogs (his previous foster home also had 5 cats) and he likes them all—but especially those who are willing to play with him. When he’s outside, he loves to play zoomies around the yard; he’s pretty pleased with himself because none of the other dogs can catch him. Inside he likes to play with stuffed toys but happily doesn’t care about the squeaker. He likes to sit on the bed, on the floor, on the ottoman, on the couch, and wrassle with other dogs.

Theo is very affectionate, trying to sneak up into your lap whenever he thinks he can get away with it. He’s also very submissive, though, and is respectful of other dogs’ rights to lap space. He’s easily made happy with a head pat or a belly scritch, and he would not mind at all if you would like to go on and on about what a good boy he is.

For the most part, Theo has his manners down—but remember he’s still a puppy. He’s not barky at all. He’s well on the way to being housetrained, although you should expect he’ll need some work in a new home. Though he will make an attempt to steal other dogs’ food, he’ll back down at the slightest challenge; he doesn’t have a bit of aggression in him. He does not chew anything valuable—like furniture—but if you leave socks or paper on the floor, it’s fair game! He rides well in a car. He will be expecting to sleep in your bed. If you don’t want him there—well, good luck with that.

Theo would prefer to be in a home with another dog for him to play with. He would make an excellent family dog as he’s exuberant but gentle. We transported him up from the Rio Grande valley in southern Texas where he was found roaming the streets. Theo is a great little dog and deserves a much better life than the one he’s lead so far.

Theo is neutered, has all his shots, and is microchipped.

Note:
We always respond first to inquiries that tell us something about your living situation (house, apartment, single, family, etc.) and why you want this dog. Be sure to include your phone number in your inquiry. We call inquiries that seem to be a good fit for the dog.
