Theo Pomeranian Santa Fe, TX

Theo was turned into us after his owner passed away. A friend tried to keep him, but she has a 1-year-old husky who was trying to play with Theo and she was afraid he'd get hurt. He's 8 years old and weighs about 17 pounds. He's a little overweight, so should weigh about 15 pounds. Theo has unique coloring. He's mostly black, but has brown on his legs and white on his chest. He has one floppy ear. He had a bee sting on his left ear when he was younger and his left ear stayed floppy after that. It's so adorable! He's a very sweet boy. He loves to be on the couch with his person. He will paw at you to get you to rub his belly--so cute. Theo gets along with other dogs, but doesn't really play. He doesn't pay attention to the cats in his foster home. He loves everyone he meets and would do well with older children. Theo is doing good with pottying outside as long as you take him out regularly. He sleeps through the night in a dog bed. He would probably happily sleep in bed with you, if you'd like. He travels well in the car. Theo is a very easy boy to care for. He's up-to-date on vaccines. He's heartworm negative. He's been neutered and had a dental. He's ready for a home of his own.

In order to adopt, you need to send an e-mail to rescue@secondchancepoms.org asking for an application. After you send this back, we will check references and someone will visit you in your home to discuss adoption. We ask a donation of $400 for adults, and $450 for puppies. This covers shots, spay/neuter, and any medical treatment when needed, such as de-worming, dental, heartworm treatment, and repairing broken bones. We do not ship our pomeranians, but an out-of-state adoption can still happen if the adopter comes to the Houston, TX area to pick up their pom.
