Meet Theo!<br/><br/>Theo is a 2-year-old, 63 lb Retriever mix with a big personality and an even bigger love for his people. This handsome guy came to us as a stray in April and has been patiently waiting for someone to finally choose him.<br/><br/>Theo is a big baby at heart! He loves attention, car rides, snacks, playing ball, lounging in the sunshine, and simply hanging out with his favorite humans. He knows "sit," walks nicely on a leash, takes correction well, and was house trained when he arrived at the shelter. After spending several months in a kennel, he may need a quick refresher once he gets home.<br/><br/>Theo has previously shared kennel space with other dogs, although lately he seems to appreciate having his own space. A meet-and-greet with any potential canine siblings would be recommended.<br/><br/>Theo would do best in a calmer home without young children. While he can initially do well around kids, extended interaction seems to overwhelm him. A home with adults or older, respectful teens who understand when he needs some space would be the best fit.<br/><br/>After nearly five months of shelter life, Theo is more than ready for a couch, a yard, some car rides, plenty of games of fetch, and a person to call his own.<br/><br/>??
