Thelma's Story

Thelma is a young, active dog with a lot of personality. She is very smart and would like a family that is active. She is a fun dog to have around.

She loves people and other dogs. Thelma jumps up on people when excited (were working on that). She would do best in a home with older kids because she might knock younger kids down since she weighs between 35 and 40 lbs.

Thelma is medium energy, but sometimes acts like a big puppy. Daily mental stimulation and exercise would be great such as 2 to 3 walks per day where she can sniff and explore.

She loves dogs and would love to have another active dog to run and play with. Both Thelma and her sister were just days old when they were found abandoned in Mexico.

She has been left alone at her foster home on multiple occasions without any issues. At night, Thelma sleeps well once she settles down. She doesnt use a crate currently but did have one as a small puppy and adapted to it well.

Thelma has not been cat-tested but appears to have a strong prey drive, so likely she is not good around cats and other small animals.

Thelma is being fostered in Hamilton.

If you are interested in adopting Thelma, please fill out an application at https://pawsaboverescue.ca/dog-adoption/

Please visit our website www.pawsaboverescue.ca to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs and cats.
