Meet Sundance: Your shoulder is his favorite place to fall asleep.<br/><br/>Sundance is a brindle sweetheart who loves being close to his people. He’ll look at you with those soulful eyes and hold his gaze to say "I love you". He gives very gentle kisses, and when he wants another hug, he may offer a soft paw.<br/>He sleeps well overnight in a crate, but given the choice, he’d be in bed with you sleeping cheek to cheek by the pillows, head resting on your legs, or curled against your body.<br/><br/>He has plenty of playful energy, but he also knows how to settle in and enjoy a quiet day together. Sundance has lived with dogs of all sizes and cats, and he’s enjoyed open play at South Paws Play School. With smaller dogs, he adjusts his play to their size. Even when another dog is being rude, Sundance tries to keep things friendly. He’s been patient with cats, too, and has even gently licked foster kittens. He could enjoy a home with compatible dog friends and or cats, but he's happy soaking up the attention as an only dog as long as you make time in the day for yard play.<br/><br/>Sundance is house-trained, crate-trained, and knows “sit,” “down,” and “come.” He enjoys play and learning new things, but what he wants most is quality time with his person. <br/><br/>Walks are exciting for Sundance—very exciting. He celebrates when the leash comes out, and seeing other dogs while he’s on leash can lead to pulling, barking and howling. Remember, he LOVES other dogs, but being close to unfamiliar dogs while on leash is not his strong suit! A home with a secure yard would give him room to sniff, play, and spend time outside with his people.
